Halloween, the best holiday there is. At least I think so because I have never been a Christmas-person and New year's Eve is just another excuse to drink like "Vappu" and the rest of the holidays are just boring. I thought of telling something about me instead of what I usually write in this blog like music, news and stuff like that.

I also decided to write in english this time, lately I've been writing in spanish much more than in finnish and after all I have said that I might sometimes write in english and this topic is quite hard for me in spanish anyways.

So usually Halloween is celebrated the 30th or 31th of October but at least in Finland you can also celebrate it the 6th of November which is actually the Finnish Swedish Heritage Day and also a flag day so basically it's a holiday and also the 310th day of the year. We celebrated this Halloween in a very fancy way I might say!

Couple of my friends decided after seeing the movie From Hell (with Johnny Depp) again that it's time to organize something fun for Halloween and what would be better then the mystery of Jack the Ripper and the brutal murders which he committed to at least five prostitutes. Probably everyone knows at least something about this story. The year was 1888 in London and the case didn't quite never got closed, at least it became a mystery who was this person calling himself Jack the Ripper.

Anyways my friends had this opportunity to plan a murder mystery with their friend who's family has this big creepy mansion deep in the woods about 45min away from Helsinki. It was the perfect place to have a little game in fancy old clothes and long story short let's just say it was worth all the trouble.

We were divided in prostitutes, detectives, police officers and journalists. Then we walked in the dark with a lantern and a map searching for clues: body in the water, a task to eat the worst pies of London, learn how to shoot a rifle and I actually put my hand in a fake corpse with actual meat made to look like human organs because one of the clues were inside it. We also had to solve a riddle in the China opium-room and make a drink of Absinthe (thank god I have sometimes tasted that poison so I knew how) and all this together was probably the best Halloween-party I have ever participated because althought we drank, it was classy fun. It wasn't just mindless drinking somewhere in a cheap costume.

So a late Happy Halloween for everyone and I recommend you do something like this next year because you will have memories that you won't forget!
